Today I am reviewing the Jawbone(r) by Aliph. Aliph.com It is a bluetooth headset for mobile phone users.
I have used this headset for a few weeks now and I must say it has remarkable audible features. The sound to the headset is sharp and crisp ( it comes with 4 extra earbuds of different sizes that should adapt to most ears.) During the calls I made, I asked how is the sound quality from my end. Everyone I ask said they thought I was on a land line.. The unit fit on my ear great ( again, it has 4 different sized ear loops) and is fairly light weight. As far as the technology goes, I highly recommend it.
The only drawback is the charging system. It has small flat rubber strip cover ( that I have lost already) that covers the connection contacts. The charging unit has a cup shaped plastic interface that presses in place before charging. Many of the headsets that I have used have had a mini USB connector on one end and a regular USB on the other. This goofy charging setup makes it unique to the Jawbone and you will have yet another cable to keep track of....
I have used it to listen to music streaming from my Verizon Q phone. Music will turn off automatically when I dial out and when I have incomming calls. This is more of a Q phone feature then the Jawbone, however.
The box claims 6 hours of talk time w/ the noise Shield turned on.
Standby time 120 hours.
