Great NAS device for $99.00

Lately I have been working with the D-link DNS -- 321. This is a great little NAS device that I first picked up at Micro Center. They were on sale for $99 after $35 rebate. One of the things that was very important to me as I was selecting an NAS device with the ability to link at 1 Gb. This allows for nice streaming of media. I purchased another unit from Amazon and it was again only $99. (I have also found good pricing at newegg.com) With 1 TB drives around $99 you can have a complete fully redundant NAS device for around $300. For more information see the link below:

Both of the units I have purchased runs flawlessly and the throughput is very good. Another interesting feature of this NAS device is the built-in support for iTunes and AV enabled media players. I've uploaded movies to this device and played them with both an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

If you're into making hacks, you can customize this box very easily. See site below:

The unit is currently shipping as firmware 1.0 and there is a new version of the firmware available to download from D-Link and I would recommend doing that immediately.

Does it come with the (2) Hard Drive SATA cables??? If not, how long of a cable should I get for each drive??? Thanks.

Actually, you will not need cables. The drives just slide into the case.

Also, there is a $35.00 rebate available from d-link. It brings the cost down to $88.00
